4. War Machine

Best Action Comedy Movies of 2026
The Wrecking Crew featuring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista is the biggest star-power action comedy of the year. Both lean on each other’s star power to pair up as estranged brothers and find their dad’s killer. Many have çomplained’that the plot is meatless, but for a lot of fans of action comedy movies, The Wrecking Crew has done a decent job at keeping them entertained.
On the other hand you also have, Normal with Bob Odenkirk and Ben Wheatley in it, that provides a much more contrasted take on action comedy. It is definitely darker, more violent, funnier than it has any right to be. Most have compared it to Fargo as well as Hot Fuzz, but we personally believe it has a slight edge compared to those two.

However, for the best action movies of all time, we didn’t use the same method. We instead relied on sustained critical consensus over time, cultural impact it has particularly on the action genre, and if they are still available to watch on major streaming platforms.

Final Verdict
2026 has been a strong and varied year for the action genre which is not dominated by a single franchise, but spread across tones and styles.
