High tea originated in 19th-century Britain. Initially, it was a light meal for the upper classes, served between lunch and dinner. However, over time, it evolved into a leisurely afternoon affair.
High tea has become popular among Singaporeans. We enjoy it not only for social bonding but also to escape the hustle and bustle of life and take Instagram-worthy pictures.
For Muslims in Singapore, it is important to choose a halal-certified restaurant. However, if such an option is not available, you can still eat at a restaurant that is Muslim-owned or where the meats are sourced from halal sources.
To help you with your selection, I have compiled a list of the 10 best halal high tea in Singapore. Most of these restaurants have a high Google rating of 4.5 and 4.7, and I have also taken into account the variety of selections and the value for money they offer.
1. Royal Palm Meat & Dine @ Golden Landmark Shopping Complex
Royal Palm Meat & Dine is the first on this list of halal high tea in Singapore because I’m surprised to see Snow Crabs here.
It’s unusual for high tea to serve snow crabs, so I had to try them. The crab was fresh because its saltiness tasted like it had just been absorbed by the seawater.
Cold starters are self-serve and very fresh. There are boiled fresh shrimp, cooked crab clusters, Spanish black mussels, and Australian clams.
There are also Japanese foods, such as sushi. A variety of cheeses are also available.
Desserts include carrot cake, mousse cake in a cup, red velvet cake, and onde-onde cake.
You have to order savoury hot bites such as the Wagyu Beef Burger, Halal Turkey Ham & Cheese Sandwich, and Chicken Fajitas Pepper Wrap, and they are served fresh from the kitchen.
Food options are limited, but satisfying because they are fresh and tasty. Even though it was peak time when I came, there were still a lot of tables and the food came out quickly.
I highly recommend coming with a friend because I paid S$90.53 for two people rather than S$75.50++ for one. I saved a lot there. However, this price is only valid from Monday through Thursday.
If you come on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday, the price for one person is S$84.95++, and for two people, it is S$101.85.

2. The White Label @ Kampong Glam
The White Label is the best halal high tea in Singapore serving French cuisine. The chic ambience and classical music were beautiful, making me feel like I’m in France.
Their high tea is a set for two and is named Rêves de Paris (Dreams of Paris). It includes over 10 different savouries and sweets, including Pâtê de Foie de Volaille, Lobster Vol au Vent, Trio De Macarons, and Mont Blanc Au Yuzu Litchi. The menu can be found here.
Taste-wise, everything is good. The desserts are to my liking as they are not too sweet.
By the way, please remember that a booking of one day in advance is required.

3. Carousel @ Royal Plaza On Scotts
The best halal high tea in Singapore that serves global cuisine is Carousel at the Royal Plaza on Scotts. All my halal friends are excited whenever I mention Carousel. So, that’s when I know I have to try here.
I was surprised and spoilt for choice with the variety of food here.
There is a seafood station that serves boiled prawns and lobster claws. There are also two counters for Japanese food: a cold selection and a teppanyaki live station.
There is also a deli corner that serves various hot grilled sandwiches. For Italian food, there is a live pasta section.
When it comes to Asian and local food, there is something for everyone. There are sections for Nasi Ambeng, dim sum, Singapore Laksa Noodle, Singapore Chicken Rice, and hot pot station.
For desserts, they have a good mix of Danish pastries and different fondue fountains. Local kuih, such as kuih lapis and pandan chiffon, is also available.
The price is S$58++ on weekdays and S$64++ on weekends. Personally, I think the price is reasonable for the wide range of food they serve.

4. The Secret Garden By Zeekri @ Baghdad St
The Secret Garden By Zeekri is another best halal high tea in Singapore that serves French cuisine at an affordable price.
For only S$48++, I get to enjoy the high tea set with two friends. The set comes with a three-level pastry tower.
All three levels have pastries such as Pandan Canelé, Mini Fruit Tart, and Assorted Macaron. They were good. You can check the menu here.
The high tea also includes blooming floral tea. It was a unique tea experience because I had no idea there was a tea that combined tea leaves and flowers.
The blooming floral tea stole the show. Watching the dried flower slowly unfurl in the hot water was mesmerising — almost like a mini performance. The tea had a delicate jasmine-rose note that lingered beautifully. I found myself refilling my cup more than reaching for the pastries. If you’ve never tried blooming tea before, this is the place to experience it.

5. Pomegranate @ Duo Galleria
Pomegranate is a halal high tea in Singapore serving European-inspired cuisine. It’s located in Duo Galleria, right in the heart of the CBD and just a short walk from Bugis MRT Exit E.
The interior is stunning — tropical jungle-themed wallpapers, clean marbled tables, retro floor tiles, and plush velvet sofa seats in rich brown tones. It’s chic, cosy, and very Instagram-worthy.
Upon entering, I was greeted by a beautiful display of pastries and bakes like Yuzu Tart (S$8) and Carrot Cake (S$8.50). Very tempting!
For the full high tea experience, I ordered their Afternoon Tea set, priced at S$70 for two people. The set includes classic English-style items — scones, finger sandwiches, and a selection of their signature pastries.
They also have à la carte options if you prefer a lighter bite: Eggs Royale (S$18), Chicken Katsu Sandwich (S$15), and Pastrami Sandwich (S$15).
What I love is that Pomegranate is the latest café concept by the folks at The Wonderment Collective (also featured on this list at #6). So if you’re a fan of their desserts, you’ll feel right at home here.
The price is very reasonable for a CBD location. Perfect for a girls’ day out or a quiet afternoon escape from the office.

6. The Wonderment Collective @ Siglap
The Wonderment Collective is another unique halal high tea in Singapore. Due to ongoing expansion work, they are not currently accepting walk-ins or reservations. However, you can order their tea set online.
I was really intrigued by their 3-Tier Afternoon Set, which is priced at S$135. It’s the most expensive high tea I’ve ever had, but I was eager to try it out.
Their 3-Tier Afternoon Set includes classic items like buttery scones with clotted cream, delicate cupcakes, and beautifully crafted tarts. What stood out was the attention to detail — each pastry looked like a work of art. The artisanal teas paired perfectly, especially the floral blends. At S$135, it’s a splurge, but for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary, it’s worth every dollar.

7. The Malayan Council @ Fullerton
The Malayan Council is a halal high tea in Singapore that is located along the streets of the Singapore River.
I must say that I had the most pleasant experience. The cuisine perfectly matched my tastes.
The prawns were extremely fresh (you MUST dip them in their Thai chilli sauce), the kebab was so flavorful, and the selection of pastries and cakes was massive. Not to mention their smoked duck lemak cili padi—my favorite!
I also appreciate the restaurant’s interior. It combines modern elegance with traditional features, creating a contemporary yet timeless environment.
The waiters also went to each table and asked for the diners’ preferred tea, which they then served in teapots. What a nice experience!

8. National Kitchen by Violet Oon @ National Gallery Singapore
National Kitchen is a restaurant that serves sophisticated national cuisine, with a focus on Peranakan cuisine. You will also discover Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian cuisine.
Since this restaurant doesn’t serve pork, I put it on my list of the best halal high tea in Singapore.
However, I failed to find any Halal certificates. I’ve heard from other folks that the meats come from halal sources. If you’re among those who tak kisah, this would be an excellent spot for you to try.
I really like the interior. The dazzling chandeliers, the gorgeous Peranakan-inspired wall and floor tiles, and the restaurant’s pleasant colour palette made me feel like I’ve just entered a glam-nyonya auntie’s home.
The price for the set is very affordable. It is $59++ for 2 pax.
Although the selection is small, it is ideal for light snacks without filling up too much. The selection was excellent as well, with standouts including the Chili Crab Tartlet and the spicy Dry Laksa. There was sweet potato too which was very unique.

9. Sofra Turkish Cafe & Restaurant @ Marina Square
Sofra is a unique halal high tea in Singapore serving Turkish cuisine. I like the menu as it features signature Turkish savouries and desserts as well as two choices of teas.
The choices are limited but it’s suitable for a light bite.
The savouries are Findik Lahmacun dates, bite-sized Vegetarian Pide—a boat-shaped flatbread with fillings—and Kisir, a spicy Turkish bulgur wheat salad.
The desserts are Baklava, chocolate and rice puddings, and Cezerye. As for the drink, there is Turkish Tea in a pot (only served based on pax) and Traditional Turkish Tea.

10. TheJellyHearts @ Downtown East
TheJellyHearts is a halal high tea in Singapore known for its yummy jelly cheesecakes. I went to their newly opened outlet in Downtown East.
They offer a high tea set for just S$38 nett for two people! Their set includes Gryphon tea—a lightly sweetened tea blended with natural cane sugar and real fruit juices—coffee, or one of their fruity drinks.
They also serve their signature desserts, such as rainbow jelly cheesecake, pies, and cakes.
I chose Gryphon tea and enjoyed it very much. It tasted unique, with balanced sweet and tangy aromas.
The cheesecake was really tasty. It’s a multi-tiered cheesecake with jelly, fresh fruit, cream cheese, and digestive biscuits.
Overall, it is well worth it.
